CitisecOnline is an online stock brokerage company in the Philippines, primarily to engage in the business of broker and/ or dealer of securities and to provide stock brokerage services through internet technology. Actively trading in the PSE since 2001, CitisecOnline has gained status for its proficiency in equity analysis and brokerage services. CitisecOnline’s management team is composed of professionals in the financial and information technology industries, as well as entrepreneurs with decades of experience in the stockbrokerage industry.
The Company is a 99.9% Filipino-owned domestic corporation which was registered with the SEC on 16 August 1999 and which started commercial operations on 1 January 2001 and is not, in any way, owned or controlled by, affiliated with or connected to any multinational financial institution, including Citigroup, Inc. and Citibank N.A.
It was established with the objective of leveling the playing field for retail investors by providing a low-cost and easily accessible means to access the Philippine stock market. Over the years, it has developed a full sweep of services to empower the retail investor. These include real-time quotes, research services and reports, and other tools to help customers make well-informed investment decisions. It also allows for prompt execution of trades, which is the best practice in the local online trading industry. The Product

CitisecOnline (www.citiseconline.com) is an online trading facility for customers to trade stocks in the Philippine stock market.  It provides the trader with real-time stock market information, research, charting tools and the online trade execution program.  The customer can monitor his account (stock portfolio and cash balances) 24/7 through the system.

CitisecOnline is similar to top US online trading sites such as Charles Schwab in terms of user-friendly interface, the availability of content, seamless execution and its customer service support team. Against its competitors, it will be the first to actively promote margin financing, which can exponentially increase the customer’s trading power in the market. It has also established a dedicated Customer Support team with the goal of increasing customer conversion and loyalty. 

Management Team

Edward K. Lee – Chairman

Edward K. Lee, 53, Filipino, is the Chairman of the Board of Citisecurities, Inc.  Prior to this, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Citisecurities, Inc. and served as Nominee to the PSE. In addition, he is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the CWC Group of Companies. Mr. Lee previously served as a Governor of the PSE from 1994 to 1996. He went on to become a member of the board of directors of A. Soriano Corporation (Anscor) serving for two terms (from 1996 to 1997).  Mr. Lee took up Industrial Management Engineering at De La Salle University from 1970 to 1974. He also completed the Basic Management Program at the Asian Institute of Management.

Alexander Yu - Vice-Chairman

Alexander C. Yu, 52, Filipino, is also a Director of Winner Industrial Corporation and the proprietor of Trans-Asia General Merchandise. In 1997, he served as a Director of Anscor. Mr. Yu graduated from De La Salle University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Conrado F. Bate - President and Chief Executive Officer

Conrado F. Bate, 45, Filipino, has had extensive experience in the Philippine stock brokerage and fund management industry. Prior positions that he has held include:  Vice President of JP Morgan Philippines, Inc. from 1997 to 2002; President and CEO of Abacus Securities Corp. from 1995 to 1997; Vice President of the Fund Management Division of Philamlife Insurance Company from 1990 to 1995.  Mr. Bate is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Mutual Fund Management Company of the Philippines .  He graduated from De La Salle University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing Management.
